You have reached half or more of your journey. Each day evaluate your process. Is this the right place to be today.

How is your home? Are you happy in your home or work environment? Why are you doing what you do? What form of relaxation do you get? Are you able feel serenity without pills, alcohol, spending, eating, smoking, sex?

Are you content with your body and what you choose to spent most of your time doing? Do you think you have choices or not? Have you gotten into a trap with your life? What can you do to get out of the trap?

Some of our years are spent imprisioned in a job, relationship, home. Think to yourself each day. Do I really want to go on with this choice for the next year, ten years or more? If not, start planning your next move.

Prepare for change

Change is never expected. Money, weather, health. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Be prepared. Look at your savings, checking and investment balances. Educate yourself. If you are not sure, asked an expert. Would you walk out of yourvhome without checking to see if it was raining? Would you walk around for weeks and months feeling ill and not seeing a doctor?

The economy is unpredictable, sickly, scary. All security from the 80′s and 90′s have disappeared. Credit card debt is higher than ever. Unemployment rates are way up there and health care costs are off the charts.

Be prepared.

Pare down, reevaluate, question everything that you commit yourself to. Your future can be better handled with the security of less debt, expenses and ownership of luxurious things that bring more angst than joy.

Lighten the heavy

Human SPAM

“Your time is precious during your daily working and non working hours.
Each moment is yours. Stay away from SPAM on the telephone. That is, speaking to people who either waste your time, energy or money. I call these bugs energy consumers. They are “me-centric” and don’t care about your needs. Someone Preaching Always About Me (me-isms) = SPAM. They can be real energy drainers.

Re-evaluate daily about people, jobs, places etc. Is this relationship or business deal, working out?

In one sentence – My time is my serenity.

What is selfish and selfless, too literally?

Selfish is putting yourself first no matter what over everyone in your family, friends and business associates – no matter what the consequences are. You have a sense of entitlement. You have little empathy of others. You believe if you are happy, everyone else is happy. You are manipulative. You use the cold shoulder approach to retaliate when you don’t get your way. You have little patience for other people’s needs and waiting. You typically place great demands on your family, friends and coworkers and offer little back in return. You use manipulation to get what you need even if it means that you play dirty or unfair. You are typically an addictive personality and your substance can be anything from alcohol to overeating. You use people and are always asking for favors and expecting to get them. You believe that you are a demigod/demigoddess and you should have whatever you want now.

Selfless is putting yourself last and lettiing the needs of your family and friends and business associates come first. You are a martyr. You feel sorry for yourself and are angry at everyone around you who you have gone out of your way to help. You just can’t help yourself. They need you and you can not say “no.” You typically forget to care for yourself and forget to get your haircut, take your vitamins, see doctors, take yourself out to lunch or a movie. You are constantly wearing old battered clothing and avoiding looking in mirrors. Often you don’t even brush or hair or teeth. What is somebody needs you? They could die, have a nervous breakdown, fall and break a hip without your help. You also believe you are a demigod/demigoddess. You have a savior complex. You will never get what your really want and need, if you don’t realize this. You will continue getting angry at the world and keep rescuing them.

This January is starting out for a trip to Curacao at an all inclusive resort.
The year 2008 was rough. My mother died in August from cancer. Money was very tight. My home life was in survival mode. A year of hardly any fun. 2009 will be more enjoyable for sure.

Dear Diary:

I feel really lonely and down tonight on this rainy day. I will try to escape into writing or the internet. Perhaps I will sign up for a night class. I take care of sick people all day at work and have a sick mother. I have a workaholic husband. We are financially tight due to high college expenses and other issues I do not wish to disclose.

I am a funny and good natured person who can also take so much bullshit from people. A am a nurturerer who loves nature, color, water, plants, animals and good company. I have a silly sense of humor and love a good laugh. That’s why I named my site ducks and noodles after my pool class where we play with rubber ducks and pool noodles.

Molly Lerkin Died Tragically in a Car Accident

Dear diary, My co-worker Molly Lerkin age 26 was killed on Saturday, March 28th driving on the New York State Taconic Parkway near Pudding Street in Putnam County, She was only 26 years old. I know Molly from the fitness center, She was always cheerful and helpful to members and had a great sense of humor. I had Molly pet-sit for me twice and she was great with the dog and the cat.

Recently, her aunt died from leukemia and Molly was torn apart emotionally by this. A few years ago, Molly lost her own mother to cancer as well. I will enclose in artical about her in the next entry.

Let her soul rest in peace. I will always remember her kindness to my animals and her sweet personality.

Kevin was fatally Ill and is on Medical Leave

I was on vacation in Florida the week of March 10-17. When I returned, I learned that Kevin was fatally ill and was in the hospital for complications of a flu-like illness the left him weak and breathless. I always thought of Kevin as rugged and outdoorsy. He hiked, jogged, skiied and swam. A fit middle aged man of 48 years with a young girlfriend and a child who live in Brazil.

I can not mention what actually happened to Kevin in the hospital as it is against the HIPPA Act. Kevin is recuperating for several months in the care of his family in New York.
